Recipes

These recipes are for Sophia who thinks I am the best cook! They are made with the provisions one has in the boat.
Pasta Sauce

For one packet of tortellini or raviolli

Three rashers of bacon, cut small.
Half a can of diced tomatoes
1/4 packet of cream cheese
Fresh oregano
Dried onions
1/2 knorr cube (any flavor)

Fry the bacon, and toss the excess oil. Add the tomatoes and onions and cream cheese. Add the knorr cube and a couple of spoonfuls of the water where the tortellini are boiling as needed.
Toss with the tortellini, add grated parmesan. Scrumptious!
Important ingredients: bacon and fresh oregano. If you have tomatoes rather than canned tomatoes, better. Same thing goes for the onions, if you have onions instead of the dried flakes, add to bacon once the oil has been drained.

Bobbi's Mexican Salad
can of beans (red, navy, black)
onions
jalapeño
cilantro
tomatoes
garlic

Cut onions, cilantro, garlic. jalapeño, add olive oil and balsamic vinegar and beans. Serve with tostitos.
If available, add avocado or guacamole, canned corn, or cook pasta and add. Wonderful after snorkeling!

New Potatoes in Butter

Boil small new potaoes until tender (add salt to water), when ready drain and add butter to pan. After 10 minutes add parsley (fresh or dried).
Best when eaten with NY strips on the grill.
