Back in St. Thomas

Ever since I lost my other Blackberry I have had problems posting to the blog with it. Hopefully we'll solve it. In spite of the dire weather forecasts we had a good week with Sophia. We went snorkelling in the Baths, the Indians and the Caves in Norman, we went hiking twice in St. John, once on Francis Bay and last Wednesday in Lameshur Bay on the Southern coast of St. John and then on Thursday we arrived in a marina in Red Hook on the Eastern end of St. Thomas and while Juan stayed "fixing" we went downtown. Then Friday at 6:15am we put her on a taxi and she left for the airport. We were sad to see her go. So, to forget we were sad we worked non stop. The electrical issues continue to plague us, so Juan went around trying to find an electrician, Tony came and went and we still have to figure out why the regulator stops charging, because of course it did not do it while Tony was here.
In the meantime Juan installed a hot and cold shower in the cockpit, and changed the vent from the water tank that drained into the bilge, to make it drain outside. I washed three loads, cleaned and continued my battle against the ants. We seem to have found something that is more effective and less poisonous than spraying everything with Raid.
We walked to a supermarket which I thought was just around the corner and ended up being over a mile away, up and down hilly St. Thomas. So we ended up dead! But we slept well and started the year rested.
The wind will continue to blow for a couple more days and then apparently we'll have good weather for a few days. Which means me may be in St. Martin next weekend.
